Courtney 

Owner/ Lead Pet Care Specialist

Hi! I’m Courtney, the owner and lead pet care specialist at Ginger Tails. Caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I created Ginger Tails to bring that same love, professionalism, and reliability to every pet in the Fort Erie community.

 

I believe that every pet deserves individualized attention, a little extra love, and the comfort of being cared for in their own home while their humans are away. Whether it’s a quick check-in, an adventure-filled walk, or an overnight stay, I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, habits, and needs—so they feel comfortable, secure, and loved.

 

With years of experience, I’ve built a team that shares my values: compassion, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals. I’m Pet CPR & First Aid -certified and fully insured, so you can trust that your pets are in capable hands.

 

Outside of work, I enjoy paddleboarding, dabbling in macramé, and spending time with Betty White and Lulu, my two ferrets—who are ALWAYS up for a party! I’m also always looking to hone my skills through continuing education and plan to pursue a dog training certification in the near future, furthering my knowledge to better serve our pets and share that expertise with our community.

 

At Ginger Tails, my mission is simple: to provide the same care and attention I would want for my own pets, giving you peace of mind and your pets the love they deserve.

Maia 

Pet Care Specialist

Maia is a valued member of the Ginger Tails Pet Service team, bringing both professional experience and a genuine love for animals to every visit. She works full-time as a veterinary technician, giving her a strong foundation in animal health, behavior, and safety.

 

At Ginger Tails, Maia supports the team primarily on weekends, where she provides reliable, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. Her calm, knowledgeable approach helps ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away.

 

With experience handling animals of all temperaments and needs, Maia is confident in recognizing subtle changes in behavior and ensuring pets receive attentive, thoughtful care at every visit.

 

Outside of work, Maia enjoys baking sourdough, gardening and thrifting.

At home, she shares her life with Auren, a calico kitten and Bella, a shih tzu/ bichon frise mix who keep her busy and constantly remind her why she loves what she does.

Her favorite part about working with animals is the unconditional love and joy animals give back

A fun fact about Maia: Maia has been a vegetarian since she was 12 years old.

What services do you offer?

 

We offer a range of pet care services designed to support your pet’s routine and well-being, including dog walking, in-home visits, and specialty services such as our wedding pet chaperone experience.

Do you provide grooming or boarding?

 

At this time, we do not offer grooming or boarding services. We specialize in in-home pet care, allowing your pets to remain comfortable in their own environment.

 

What types of pets do you work with?

 

We specialize in all pet care at Ginger Tails. Whether you have dogs, cats, or other small household pets, each one receives the same professional, compassionate care.

 

Do you offer group walks or solo walks?

 

All services are provided as one-on-one care, ensuring your pet receives individual attention tailored to their needs and comfort.

 

How long are your visits or walks?

 

We offer a variety of visit lengths to suit your pet’s needs, which will be reviewed with you during your consultation.

Getting Started

 

Do I need a consultation before starting services?

 

Yes—an in-home consultation is required for all new clients. This allows us to meet you and your pet, review routines, and ensure we’re the right fit.

 

 

 

How do I book services?

 

All bookings and scheduling are managed through our client app, making it easy to request and manage your services.

Are you available on holidays?

 

Yes, we are available on all major holidays to ensure your pets continue to receive consistent care when you need it most.

Please note that a holiday service fee applies to bookings scheduled on these dates.

 

How far in advance should I book?

 

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during busy seasons and holidays, as availability can fill quickly.

 

Do you service clients outside of your service area?

 

We currently serve Fort Erie, Crystal Beach, Ridgeway, and Stevensville.

To maintain reliable scheduling and consistent care for our clients, we are not accepting bookings outside of these areas at this time.

 

Do I need to review any policies before starting services?

 

Yes. All clients are required to review and agree to our service policies prior to the start of care. This helps ensure a smooth and consistent experience for everyone.

Are you insured and bonded?

 

Yes. Ginger Tails Pet Service is fully insured and bonded, providing an added layer of protection and peace of mind while your pet and home are in our care.

We hold ourselves to a high professional standard, ensuring every service is delivered with accountability, reliability, and care you can trust.

 

Are your team members trained and vetted?

 

Absolutely. All Ginger Tails team members are carefully selected and undergo background checks before joining our team. Each team member is fully insured and bonded, and trained in Pet First Aid and CPR.

We’re committed to maintaining a team you can feel confident welcoming into your home and trusting with your pets.

 

How do you access my home?

 

Your preferred method of entry will be securely discussed and documented during your consultation. Your home’s safety is always a priority.

 

Will I receive updates during visits?

 

Yes! You’ll receive detailed visit updates, including photos and videos, so you can stay connected and reassured while you’re away.

 

What happens in case of an emergency?

 

We take immediate action to ensure your pet’s safety and contact you right away while following your provided instructions.

Pet Care

 

Do you work with nervous or reactive pets?

 

Yes. Every pet is unique, and we’re happy to discuss your pet’s needs to ensure we’re the right fit.

 

Can you administer medications?

 

Yes, we can administer certain medications. We’ll review all details with you during your consultation.

 

Can you care for multiple pets?

 

Absolutely! We’re experienced with multi-pet households and ensure each pet receives the attention they need.

What to Expect

 

Do you offer boarding or overnight stays?

 

We offer in-home overnight stays, allowing your pet to remain comfortable in their own environment while receiving dedicated care. At this time, we do not offer boarding services.

 

Can I book or make schedule changes directly with staff?

 

All scheduling and service changes are handled through the client app or management to ensure everything stays organized and consistent.

 

Can you accommodate last-minute requests?

 

We’ll always do our best, but availability is not guaranteed for last-minute requests.
